Wisconsin post-celestial-shoegazer trio Lights Out Asia delivers their sophomore full length and debut for n5MD titled Tanks and Recognizers. This follow-up to their critic and fan favorite
Garmonia (sun sea sky) pushes their sound far forward with a palpable intensity by giving a seemingly subliminal nod to some of the more electronically minded ethereal bands of the mid 80s to
early 90s like Breathless, Chapterhouse, My Bloody Valentine or even the more emotionally rich moments of Colourbox. Lights Out Asia who is actually influenced more by a more current crop of
like-minded artists such as Mogwai, Massive Attack, and Robin Guthrie’s various works, blend them all, the erstwhile and contemporary, with an updated style, feel and modern expansiveness. Tanks
and Recognizers is a cinematic and ambitiously crafted album which could easily fit into any indie rock or electronic music collection. Soaring, floating, and moving forward as it pulls you in to
its hopeful heart consuming ebb and flow of electronics, guitars and lofty vocal yearning. Tanks and Recognizers is that perfect album for those days when the horizon and sky are of the same hue
and for those moments where every perspective is so gorgeously blurred.

When Canadian electronic musician Stephen Hummel‘s debut as SubtractiveLAD “Giving Up The Ghost” materialized in 2005 n5MD touted it as an amalgam of the label’s emotional experiments in
music credo. With his second album “Suture” (2006) subtractiveLAD toughened things up a bit by getting darker and somewhat emotionally weighted. With his new 3rd full-length for n5MD entitled “No
Man's Land” subtractiveLAD has out shined his previous albums by creating an introspective and focused actualization of his emotions. In past outings subtractiveLAD has only hinted at such
introspection and has let us see just a hint of such depth of psyche. This new more open aesthetic has seemingly given Hummel a newer confidence in his sound that has led him to push further its
boundaries by adding elements such as guitar, field recordings, and even hints of vocal texture to his signature style of self-made synth melodies and compressed beats. Songs of defiance, love,
exasperation, hope, loss and even pleasure are all compiled in such a way to lead you through a journey of great musical rewards. SubtractiveLAD has yet again captured a resounding annotation of
n5MD as a label and as a stylistic categorization, proof that there can be a beating heart behind all the silicon and wires.

Richard Bailey and n5MD team up yet again, this time to release his 6th Proem studio album "A Permanent Solution".There is an undeniably classic IDM vibe to "A Permanent Solution", one that has
been missing from the genre for some time. Ever present are the moments you have come to know, feel and respect of Bailey's music. However, Bailey tears the seam on the bag of atmospherics he's
been hiding and pours the contents like thick syrup over every track. The Proem beatwork is intact but there is a much heavier emphasis on letting the backdrop propel the songs forward. There are
people still superfluously creating this style of electronica but not with as much depth and style as Bailey projects into his music. "A Permanent Solution" is a perfect jump forward while still
keeping true to the "Proem sound".

Echoes of metal pipes clanging againstthe floor of an immense underground cistern float up from the depths while a thin strand of white smoke melody uncurls overhead. Maeko begins with tiny
particles of light rising against a black crushing hip-hop background until there is enough motion for the sound to evolve into a abstract beat. The mood throughout is meditative and somber, the
pace slow and stately. The duo applies electronic treatments subtly, often bathing the cleanly beat in dense ambient layers. Electronics move to the forefront when its organ drone is showered
with swirling crackle, muffled percussion accents, and hissing emissions until the album vanishes inside an ambient cloud. The music peak, though. Lullaby waltz of reverberant electric
noize…

Mathias Delplanque is an artist based in France, known mainly for his dub albums released under the name Lena on the labels Quatermass and Sounds Around. He's also involved in numerous
projects ranging from sound installations, to improvisation and live performance. "Le Pavillon Temoin" (« The Show House »), marks the beginning of a new phase in the music of Mathias Delplanque.
This is a very subtle and personal piece of work exploring the aesthetics of modern electronica, jazz, folk and musique concrete. Acoustic instruments (guitar, piano, cello, drums, accordion,
melodica, bells) form the backbone of the compositions, sometimes dissolving into particles of abstract sound, and at other times conspiring to create familiar textures. This fragile balance
between noisy collages and pleasing melodies is the key to the album's atmosphere, it’s a listening treat for the mind, the ear and the imagination. With each layer of shimmering guitar, "Le
Pavillon Témoin" reveals itself in all its mysterious glory.

“Where You Are And
Where You Want To Be” est sorti sur le label canadien Music Made By People.
Although conceived in Lille, SILENCIO is a project that flourishes amidst transience. Members, Jul and Nico, inhabited several locales during the making of the record, collecting ideas
through sight, sound and feeling. What started out as bedroom experimention, creating ambient electronic music from samples and found sounds, has evolved and culminated into three fully realised
pieces. Each of which evoke an emotional and physical journey, exploring cities at night, haunting old ruins, contemplating past, present and future, together or alone, recognising part of their
bondies in the distance they often share. That space, an important aspect of the music they make, allows the listener to take a breath while observing the tapestry of acoustic intrumentation
mixed seemlessly with field recordings, ambient soundscapes and electronic.Released on the canadian label Music Made By People.
